Formed in March 2005, Silver Cypher is a thrash/powermetal band from Cincinnati Ohio. The American three-piece are best known for expressing thought-provoking and emotional music from topics centered in fantasy. Though heavily influenced by American and British Power metal of the 80's and 90's, the band incorporate elements of styles such as thrash doom metal into their songs, all the while making use of a wide range of vocal styles, and manages to create their own uniquely modern sound classified by their fans as the sub-genera dark power metal.
