Many creatures die
The items that they drop
From merchants you can't buy
I scavenge through the bodies
Through hordes of the beasts
Equipping what I find
Improving piece by piece

The butcher raises his cleaver
To cut down brave men where they stand
Taken by such surprise
This meeting must have fore been planned
The evil creature's weapon
Slices through what he sees
Limbs left hacked and mangled
And festering with some strange disease
He'll rip through their flesh
And collect their bones
This hulking brute's pleasure
Comes from their cries and moans
Hear you now a warning
Words for your protection
Kill him before he kills you
Or be added to his collection
I find in darkness I can see
There is balance in this madness
All these people had to die
To show me how to live
To turn back now is not an option
They all depend on me
And I must fight him at each chance I get
He will fall and I will win the day
Opponents getting stronger
As I near his Hell
But I too find strength in
Steal sword and spell
The walls are searing hot now
Still I must descend
The devil must be kept down
His coming brings the end
Alone I must attack
Fight and not be killed
For if I fall this day
Then more blood will be spilled
But Lazarus is strong
Much stronger than the rest
And with his defeated
That leaves just one more test
